Command Unit Reset and Pairing ​

Resetting a Command Unit clears the following:

  • Paired Trigger Boxes
  • Recordings
  • Messages
  • Users
  • Settings

Command Unit Reset ​

  1. Internet connectivity is required to reset. Connect the Command Unit to power and data.
  2. Login to the backend admin at https://eas-controller.clairglobal.com/api/admin/.
  3. Click on Devices.
  4. Click on "Reset Event". This is hidden and only shown on hover.
  5. Wait. The Command Unit will take ~5 minutes to reset.

Trigger Box Adoption ​

  1. Internet connectivity is required to adopt trigger boxes. Connect the Command Unit to power and data.
  2. Connect the trigger boxes to the same network as the Command Unit. There is a courtesy network port on the back of the Command Unit.
  3. Login to the backend admin at https://eas-controller.clairglobal.com/api/admin/.
  4. Click on Discovered devices.
  5. Discover Trigger Boxes.
  6. Adopt Trigger Boxes.

Trigger Box Testing ​

Trigger Boxes and lights should be tested between events. A multimeter and Qbox is required for testing.

To test:

  • Power on the Command Unit and Trigger Boxes. Get the Command Unit and Trigger Boxes on the same network and connect the EAS lights.
  • Create a new zone and move the trigger boxes to the zone.
  • Confirm that the EAS light is working. The light for each Trigger Box should be green.
  • Confirm that the Contact Closure is working. NO and C should be open, NC and C should be closed.
  • Select the "Test: 1K Tone" and arm the testing zone.
  • Activate EAS.
  • Confirm that the tone is playing back with the Qbox.
  • Confirm that the Contact Closure is working. NO and C should be closed, NC and C should be open.
  • Confirm that the light is flashing red and white.
  • Deactivate EAS.
